Development of an intelligent autonomous solution for steel mill furnace charging crane.
IC4-070060-2021-3
This project focuses on the existing crane at the Celsa steel mill facilities for the ladle furnace loading area. Currently there is a crane designed for semi-automatic work, with some aids to position control, but the instrumentation in many cases is out of service and does not provide all the necessary information to establish an optimal control of the process, which raises safety issues and the need for operator intervention. For this reason, the development of this project is proposed with the aim of implementing a solution that allows the automation of this type of crane, guaranteeing a greater optimization of movements and consumption, as well as an increase in the safety of the installations.
