DEVELOPMENT OF A SOLUTION FOR THE AUTONOMOUS TRANSPORT OF HUSK EVACUATION
IC4-070050-2021-3
The current process of removing the husk from the preheating furnaces to the turner is manual. The scale falls from the kiln into hoppers with manually operated gates. The operator places a wheelbarrow under each of the 9 hoppers, collects the scale and transfers it to a canister by lifting the wheelbarrow to empty it. The canister is then lifted to level 0 using a hoist, and the scale is finally transferred to a husk pit. This project proposes a digital transformation, using an automated guided vehicle (AGV) to efficiently evacuate iron oxide scale, improving recovery and accuracy in the collection of this valuable by-product.
